I have (had) a 2000 Odyssey LX...some clown rearended me. Totaled the LX.
I am getting a 2001 Odyssey EX.
OK...a little history on the LX.  I had just put brand new tires on the
LX...I want to put them on the EX...I looked up specs and it appears they
are the same size even though one wheel (EX) is alloy and the LX is not.
Any reasons not to swap tires.
I like the radio I have in my LX.  It's a factory cassette/radio combination
with a CD on the bottom.  There is no anti theft device.
Can I remove the radio/cassette and CD combo from the LX and put it in the
EX?  Are the plug ins the same?  Is the anti theft device in the radio OR in
the wiring?

Battery..same question...I had just put a new battery in the LX and are the
amperage demands the same in the LX or the EX?  Of course the EX has more
power features.

And the 2001's owners manual is mia..where can I get a new one?
Thanks.

I *did* swap the radios and that worked ok except for one thing.  The
steering wheel controls do not work.  I guess the radio in the dash and the
model type radio have to match.
(I took a radio out of an LX and installed it in an EX).
Main reason is the radio out of the LX doesn't have all the BS with the
theft code and secondly is that the unit in my LX had both cassette and CD..
Any thoughts?  If the controls on the EX steering wheel are not compatible
with the LX radio (now installed in the EX), then I can live with that.

The LX audio unit does not have the remote control function; yes you will have
to live with it...
