About the oldest and best website on engine swaps I know of is
hybridgarage.com, which specifically deals with Honda/Acura engine
swaps. They've been around for a long time and as I recall, have zip
on engine swapping an '81 Civic.  The don't really see it practical
till about '87 (3rd gen).  But, it's a great site with a lot of good
info and they will readily admit, with enough money, you can do
anything you want.  ;)

See the technical library.  Good luck.

Do u want to make it to race or just for normal use because you should get a
b16 or a b18 which brings more torque than a b16 but no vtec

but why bother with an 81?  a 91 makes a lot of sense because it handles
so well, but an 81???
