I have a '99 Accord and I need some info on adjusting the throttle
cable. The cable has some slack in it which causes the car to lurch
from a stand still. Can give me some directions on how to take the slck
in the cable? Thanks!

Lock nut is right beside where the slack is. Back it off, snug up the
other nut a few turns, then re-snug the lock nut. Leave a bit of droop
in the cable because it will tighten in extreme cold weather. That would
be dangerous.
