I have a 1990 Honda Civic with the 1.5 4-cylinder 16 valve engine.
Perodically my check engine light comes on and when the light is one my
RMP limited is lowed down to 3500 RPMs. I read about the problem online
and have already replace the main relay. Car produces error code 16.
Anyone have and ideas.

Cheers

DTC 16 is the fuel injector. In your case it probably is the injector
itself.

You have not specified whether or not you have an Si, so I'm going to
assume a throttle-body injected motor. In that case it's probably the main
injector (the lower, as I recall).

My Civic LX had an error code 16. I reset the trouble fuse and
spreaded some
air clearner inside of air passage. Strangely the error code is gone.
I don't think I actually solved the error code...I mean I never fix
technically
the problem of code 16. It looks to me more like an simple computer ECU
error.
