Faulty Brake Light

My left brake does not work but the right one does. It is not the bulb.
Could this be a faulty switch?

Usually it is not a switch if one side works. More probable would be either
the socket-check for corrosion-or the wiring going to the lite. Check for a
broken or damaged wire going to the side that isn't working. Finally make
sure it is the CORRECT bulb you are using.
