I am planning to get a honda civic. Now, I have a concern. I have seen
many civics with no tach.
Therefore, I want to see if anyone know what year and which model would
have the tach from stock. Thanks

Your going to get it with an automatic transmission anyway. The tach
would only be worthless.

Just rev it until it starts sputtering. Then you'll know when the rev
limiter is cutting in. You won't hurt it. Try not to leave it in D2 when
you go on a highway trip. Fuel economy suffers.

No Tach on the 96-00 DX Coupe and Sedan. Also 96-00 Hatch doesn't have
Tach, except for the 96-00 DX Hatch that was built in Canada.

i added the tack to my 98 civic lx. bought a cluster from ebay for $50,
swapped the speedo portion of the cluster to keep my mileage, and dropped it
in, no wires or anything to mess with. works like a charm.... :)
