Ok guys, I have a 97 hx 2 dr with 100k on it. Since I bought the only
problem I have noticed with it is the the trans when its cold only. I
didnt notice this when I drove it off the lot because my cousin and I
had it idleing for about an hour looking it over. The problem is when I
start it in the morning and the engine and trans are cold, I put it in
drive and go but the rpm's keep reving like im taking my foot on and
off the gas. (i'm not) it will continue to fluctuate all the way till
about 45 mph then it will level out somewhat. now when the car reaches
its hot temp it still will act up a little then about 20 minutes after
the hot temp on the gage is reached it will drive flawlessly. my guess
is the trans fuild reaches its hot temp after the engine does. NOW...
the dealership claims to have replaced the TCM and made
adjustsments...they had no results save better acceleration throughout
the rpm band. still the same exact symptoms. any ideas? :screwy:
