Sounds like the ignition switch.
How heavy is your keychain? If you've got lots of stuff on there, try
removing the key from the chain and using it on its own. If that doesn't
help, the switch is probably bad.
With the engine off and the key turned to II, and you turn the key, slowly,
ever so slightly, in either direction, can you induce a buzzing or clicking
noise?

Sounds like the ignition switch recall prob. I had it. Sucks,indeed.
Get it fixed ASAP! Should be FREE!!!

I had the same exact problem on a car once. It turned out the started
was loose. Make sure the bolts holding the starter in are tight.
