I ran my '03 Accord transmitter key thru the wash yesterday, what are
the odds it isn't toast?

TIA

Take the battery out as soon as possible.
Run clean warm water over the rest of it and then shake
off the surplus. Place the key in a warm place - airing cupboard?
Leave there for a day and then fit a new battery and try it
out

Thanks, I let it sit overnight (don't have a screwdriver small enough to
open it) and it worked just fine yesterday afternoon!

it probably would be worth taking apart, replacing the battery, cleaning
the contacts, and spraying the whole thing down with contact cleaner.

otherwise the battery can rust and leak, pretty much ruining it.
