Hey everyone.. I am new to this forum so Hello =)
I'm an HID dealer and am testing some new HID products. I need volunteers
to test out 9006 and 9005+9006 bixenon kits.
What I'm testing:
3 Different Factories from China & Taiwan.
9006 Xenon HID kits with these color temperatures: 3150K, 3500K Golden,
4300K, 5000K, 6000K, 7000K, 8000K, 10000K, 12000K, 15000K, 6 different
30000K kits (Green, Violet, Purple and other colors).
I am also testing new Ultra High Output HIDs (50 Watt HID they produce
about 30% more light than regular 35Watt HID kits). And I have some
9005+9006 Bixenon kits as well.
The Plan:
I need 4-6 cars, I want the same make (Honda Accord 2004-2006).. I want to
mount all the different kits to take pictures for the website and evaluate
brightness of the different brands... as there is over 20 different kits I
want to test this will probably take a few hours, and of course will be
done @ night time in Los Angeles, probably around UCLA or Santa Monica.
You:
Have a relatively new and nice Honda Accord.
Want to check out some awesome HID kits.
Ideally: You have a nice Digital SLR camera and are an (amateur)
photographer?!
So if anyone wants to come check out these kits or just hang out and take
a look (If you don't have a Honda Accord you can still come and take a
look) let me know.
For those that help me out I am going to give you a kit for way below cost
if you want it.. but this could take 2-3 or maybe even 4 hours so I hope
you don't mind hanging out for a bit.
Have a nice camera and photographer skills? Come help me take pictures
and I'll give you a kit for $150.
The 4-6 Honda Accord people that I choose will also get a $150 kit if they
want one.
By the way these are some sweet kits I am testing, I have bought samples
from 14 different factories and have settled on the top 3, one factory is
the largest HID manufacturer in China and they're offering an 18 month
warranty on their product!
When: I want to do this during the weekend Friday or Saturday July 7th or
July 8th.. at night time after the sun sets.. it will most likely be in
Santa Monica, by UCLA, or maybe in Hollywood.
If you're interested let me know ASAP. I am posting this on several
forums and its first come first serve.. I just need 1 or 2 photographers,
4-6 Honda Accords, and at most 4-6 more 'observers.'
Let me know why you'd be good for this event:
1. Have a nice Honda Accord? How nice? =)
2. Photographer with a nice camera?
3. Are you an HID expert and can you help me evaluate & compare to other
HID products on the market?
4. Are you a hot chick that wants to pose with the cars and be on the
website?
If you're all of the above I just might give you a free kit for
participating!

Oh right.. these are obviously for off-road use ONLY! And for anyone
interested in HIDs, get a higher color temp like 7000K as it produces less
light and is less annoying to other drivers!
Color Temperature: Light Output:
Halogen Bulbs Varies from 7000-1000 lumen (H7 is higher than that I
think)
HID 3500K 3600lumen
HID 4300K 3200LM
HID 5000K 3000LM
HID 6000K 2700LM
HID 8000K 2200LM
HID 10000K 1900LM
HID 12000K 1700LM
Notice the big drop off @ 6000K and 8000K.. also the light output varies
by manufacturer, the color temperatures goes down by about 1000K for every
two years of use, and the lifetime of the bulb decreases slightly with
higher color temperatures! And importantly the higher up the scale you go
the worse the penetrability/visiblity is in fog/rain condition (It starts
to get bad @8000K and I would not drive in fog with 12000K at all)
Guess which of the four points is made up? Just kidding they're all
true!
Did daniel stern tell you that huh? =)
