My friend does not know jack about cars and I bought a brand new
battery for my car. I went into the house to use the bathroom and he
tried to put the battery in the car by himself. He connected the
positive to the negative and negative to the positive. He said when he
did it, there were sparks. Now, when I reconnected it the right way,
the car won't start. Is it a case of a blown fuse or what?

So what exactly happens when you turn the key to START? Please be specific.
