This morning I tried to start my 2003 Honda Accord EX and it didn't
want to start. Seemed like a low battery although I don't think I left
anything on overnight.  I tried a few times without success so I took
the key out and then it started.  Yup, it started without the key.  I
decided to put the key in and I was able to turn it to the proper
position without resistence.  I drove it for my short errand and
everything seems okay but I'm still concerned.  Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Elena

Ignition switch.  This is one area where Honda has had problems.  I never
had any problems but my 98 was recalled for a bad ignition switch.

Do you have a remote starter or possibly an aftermarket alarm?  It
seems very strange that it would start the engine by itself.
