Hello,
I've got a 2001 accord. It has been a few times that I have
inserted the key into the ignition and heard an odd sound ( a bit
like grinding). The sound disappears in 2 secs and then car starts
normally.

This doesn't happen always, just once or twice in maybe 15 starts.

Anything to look for?

Thanks!

Does the sound occur when you turn the key to the ON position (before
cranking)? Maybe it's the fuel pump.

Does the noise come from under the rear seat?
