Civic DelSol Won't Start

Hello:

I drove the car to the store. Everything working perfectly. I get back
in it and the door beep slowly died and now the car won't start. It
won't turn over, no indicator lights, no beeps. Totally dead.

A kind stranger offered to jump it and it started right up. Drove home
(thank god) and once turned off, it won't start again.

I searched around under the hood and noticed one of the spark plug
wires (the one with a gold dot on it) was loose. I pulled it out and
the metal shield inside it fell off. I put that back on, but still
nothing. It will always start with a jump though.

I'm sure this is an easy one. Any advice?

Thanks in advance. If I figure it out first, I'll post a follow up.

It would be terribly handy to know what year and mileage, but whatever.
It's probably the terminals on the battery, or the other end where they
attach to the starter and ground. The ground one is a common suspect.
Slip them apart, clean and tighten everything, and if it doesn't help,
test and replace the battery.

Thanks I will give it a try.
The body is a 1994 and I was told the engine is a 1995. The mileage is
impossible to determine because the previous owner put a new Vtec in it
even though it was a plain ol delsol before that. It is a major pain to
buy parts for it. I ALWAYS have to go back to the store! :)

Battery might have bad cell, but start your trouble shooting with the
battery anyway.
