I have about 77K miles on the 01 Accord and suddenly the "Check" light came on and the speedometer stopped working. The code gives me " P0500" which is supposed to be a Speed Sensor? Can anyone please tell me how to fix it ?? Dealer wants $300.00 to fix! Replace the VSS. > Dealer wants $300.00 to fix! Sounds about right. Try an independent shop if you want to save a bit on labor.
