malfunction light on 98 accord

how to reset the malfunction light on the dashboard?  my accord was running
a little rough and the light came on,put the cleaner in the fuel tank,
fixed the problem,but light is still on

Do you mean the yellow light with the little engine picture on it?

If so, go and get the code read (free at AutoZone/PartSource).

The light can illuminate for any of a hundred different reasons, so you
absolutely need the error code behind the illumination.

DO NOT disconnect the battery! The light WILL go off if you do that, but
you will also lose a very valuable piece of diagnostic information!

Once the code is read, THEN you turn the light off and see if the same code
comes back.
