Hello,

I have a 95 Accord 120k miles and the upper ball joint boots
are almost to the point of cracking open. I had a look at the parts
diagram and it looks like the boots can be removed and replaced
without replacing the ball joint. Should I go this route or should I
get the entire piece? Will I need to have them repressed in or will
the ball joint press tool work? I've never replaced these so any
information would help.

Thanks,
Nick

If just the boot is bad, then just replace the rubber. I have found in
the past- generic aftermarket ones that fit. fill the new boot with
fresh grease when you replace it.

Personal experience on pressing in new ball joints for me has been a bad
idea. I had them come loose. I have had NO problems with buying a new
control arm even though the cost is higher.
