Can anyone help!!

When i drive my honda accord above 40mph, i begin to hear a loud
humming sort of noise from the front of the car. not sure if its under
the bonnet or to do with the wheel bearings.
Its fine below 40mph. The noise developed after i did some hundred
miles on the motorway last weekend.

Any suggestions of what the problem is???

thanks

rouhel

>Wheel bearing?  CV joint?

Please quit top-posting.  It is f.cking obnoxious to anybody interested in
a thread more than one post deep.

CV joints don't hum.  They make snapping noises and the sure test is to put
the car under power during a turn.  If it gets extremely loud in that
situation then it is surly the CV joint.  The outer joints always wear more
and they'll get louder during powered turns.

The first step is to figure out where the noise is coming from.  Put the car
up on jacks (both front tires) and listen outside while somebody inside gets
the wheels up to speed?

Humming sounds are usually a bad wheel bearing. How many miles are on
this car? You'll need to get this fixed in the next few months. Expect
to pay about $200-300 for the repair.
