Just carried out a service on my sons 2002 1.6 Civic SE Sport and all went
well until we came to change the pollen filter. The box with the new one had
2 filters inside but on finding the filter in the drawer behind the glove
compartment it looks like only one filter required. Did I gain an extra
filter or have I missed one some where else.

Also what a stupid place to put the oil filter, if you don't have a pit then
it's an absolute bast**d to change and dribbles oil down the back of the
engine.

Thanks

Bob

My 2003 Civic has two filters that are about square.  One comes out from
behind the glove box, and the second has a tab sticking out at the edge of
that same hole.  You slide it over and pull it out of the same hole.

Yes, that was right.
A closer look with a torch showed the tab to pull the second one out.
From its condition I don't think its ever been changed, more than 50%
of the folds in the paper filter were full and the rest were filthy.

Thanks for the info.
