Just noticed today; ...my 1998 Accord EXV6 121K miles timing belt 100K
miles, new lower ball joints last year. The car vibrates...actually shakes
what feels to be side to side during medium to hard acceleration. NO
symptoms during coasting, transmission shifts fine (that too replaced at
~85k miles). Brakes fine steers fine.
Plugs, wires, distributor?? Idles normal not rough. Hoping it is not $$$.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Matt

I don't know much about this but my previous car
had the similar problem - vibrates during acceleration...
Strangest thing: I had the tires changed (because they were
worn out) and the vibration went away...
no I don't think it was the tires, I suspected the wheels
just weren't put on right previously....

Just a thought.

Any irregular engine noises during acceleration?  If not I would look
at the tyres first as well. Does the steering wheel judder when you
accelerate? Poorly aligned wheels or balding tyres can cause
vibrations during acceleration.

For those who are interested; took the car to my dealer. Problem was the
front AXELS. I had them replace both. Problem, solved.

Have you replaced a CV axle lately?  Have you checked them.  My '97
developed a bad acceleration only vibration from an out of balance
axle.  Other conditions were just like yours.

I've had that problem with an old 70's impala it would shake when
getting up to speed due to the engine mounts being old and worn out,
the rubber bushings could be going out.
