96 accord air conditioning problem

My wife's 96 accord v6 will cool just fine as long as engine is above
1500 rpms or so, but when car goes to idle the car stops cooling as
compressor kicks out. I have one of those cheap low side pressure
gauges that shows the refirgerant is in the correct range during
higher rpms (around 35 lbs), but when the car goes to idle the
pressure goes way up into the red area (about 110) and the compressor
kicks out. How conistent should the pressure be on the low side during
operation?

your pressure should be on the "low" side or the blue area cant remember
the psi range all the time when the ac is on
