to change carburettor

since my '89 accord gives black smoke.....mechanics have suggested to
change the carburettor.since in my country widely available car is
toyota...its hard to get Honda parts. can i replace the original
carburettor with toyota carburettor....please suggest. thank you.

doesn't work - it won't have the right mixture distribution or controls.
 you need to service the carburettor you already have.  look online and
buy a carburettor reconditioning kit, including a new float valve.  some
online distributors will ship anywhere in the world.
