I have a '99 CRV 4cyl. AWD automatic. I changed the oil pan gasket
and had to remove a couple of bolts from the exhaust to manifold
(front of the engine). I let the forward portion of the exhaust hang
on the spring-bolts/clamp on the front of the catalytic converter so
that I could remove the oil pan. Following assembly, the engine light
was on, idle is now at a lower RPM than before, but no other
noticeable changes. Is there a way to re-set the check engine light?
check for loose plug on your O2 sensors. One before the cat and one after.
To reset, pull the fuse marked 'Backup' in the fuse panel under the hood.
But probably better to get the code read... either get a OBDII code reader or
go to your local parts store and see if they will read it for you.
If you get them to read it, have them leave the reader plugged in for a
minute or so and it will turn the light off. Make sure you get the ACTUAL
code and report back here.

they are pretty apparent... on my civic its right above where my left foot
would rest. On other Hondas I have seen it placed more towards the center of
the vehicle.
