The 5-20 that they use in the civic , is it regular oil or semi-synthetic.
Follwing the maintenance indicator, by the time it comes down to 15% the
mileage on the oil is alreay around 7500 km. This make me nervous if it is
regular oil.

Semi-syn.
You can always change the oil much more often if you like. That mileage
minder is a *maximum*.

Why? It's well within standard oil industry specs.

nervous? where are you getting your information from? you can be
assured that the engineers that wrote the oil mileage software
algorithms knew just a leeeeetle bit more about your honda than the
marketing monkeys over at iffy lube.
