2006 Odyssey click

I've had a dashboard click for sometime on my 2006 Odyssey if the road isn't
anything than newly paved.
After lots of experimentation I finally determined that it is the little
knob you push to zero out the trip mileage and you turn it to set dashboard
gauge brightness.  I suppose I could try to squeeze a adhesive felt pad
between the knob and the plastic shield over the gauges but I was wondering
if it was removable because it could probably be fixed better if it could be
pulled out first to apply a pad to the offending edges.  Anyone know how to
remove it?  Thanks.

Do not disassemble ANYTHING. Your car is still under warranty, so the
dealer is obligated to fix this for you for free.

If you try to fix it yourself and you break something, it's your dime. And
those interior parts can be pretty damned expensive.

I'll double check my manual but I thought rattles and wind noises only
covered for first year.

Check your Warranty Manual (not your Owner's Manual). I think you'll find
they're covered for more like 3 years/36K mi.

In any case, you'd be foolish not to at least check with the dealer on that
before risking breaking a $100 part.

Are you sure it's not just clicking as you start away from a stop, or as
you come to a stop? That's normal. It's the shift lockout solenoid.

No it is a constant annoying clicking as the buttons vibrates agains the
plastic gauge cover.

And this is exactly the sort of thing they eventually issue a TSB for (or a
mention in Honda ServiceNews).

Visit your dealer.

If there's no TSB or HSN mention now, there will be one in a few months.
Provided enough other people have the same problem.
