2008 Honda Accord Whistle Noise

I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Accord, v6 and really like the car,
but the wind whistle noise is really loud. Before I picked up the car
I had the dealer install the sun roof wind visor and the 4 window
visors.

I did not drive this particular car before purchasing it, I had the
dealer locate the "proper" color so I didn't think about driving this
exact car before the accessories were added.

The dealer says the noise is coming from the visors (that they - the
dealer installed) and wants to charge me to remove them without taking
any responsibility for the accessories if they aren't the issue. I am
not sure they are the problem.

Any body have any experience with these added items creating noise?
Without sounding like a total idiot, should I pay the dealer to remove
them (they claim the items will be damaged and not able to be re-
installed) and see if the noise still persists?

Any particular Honda Hotline Number I can call? Again, these
accessories were from the dealer and they were installed by the dealer
and I think if the visors are creating the noise, the dealer should
have some responsibility in making this right.

Thanks for your inputs...even as cruel as they may be :)

Mine does that whistling sound too. I have a 2008 EX-L sedan and I noticed
that on the highway a little the other day while I had the radio off. Mine
doesnt have any of the accessories you mentioned on yours. I only have
mudguards and wheel locks. I think it could be the XM antenna on the read
top roof but I am not sure. Small price to pay for all that luxury though!

==========================

It might just be the windshield gasket. Honda has had that problem on a
few models, many times before:

Thank you for posting Tegger's link and everyone should be sure to follow
his other links from that site to visit the library with even more TSB's.

As for me, I'm going to get the windshield leaks fixed according to the TSB
for my 2006 Odyssey.

I had a body shop tell me to slap some duct tape in various places to
determine the source of a whistle on an old truck.  I narrowed down the
area that was whistling, and they fixed it.

You might put a strip of duct tape along each of the accessories, and the
roof mount antennas to see if that changes the noise.

I have a 2003 Civic that always had a wind noise, not a whistle, that I
though was poor sealing on the right rear door.  The dealer failed to
locate any problem a couple of times when I mentioned it.

Recently, I had someone back into the left side of my car, and I mentioned
the wind noise to the body shop as something I'd like to have fixed, even
if it cost some money.  He said that wind nose was common on Hondas from
the fixed window guide between the rear window and the quarter window.  He
walked over and pointed out that it wasn't installed correctly.

When they came to pick me up after the body work, the tech commented that
he didn't hear the wind noise before, so he wasn't sure he had fixed it.
As soon as we got up to about 40mph on the way to drop him off, I told him
it was fixed.

My wife noticed it the next day, without me even commenting that I had
anything done in that area.

Well mine happened on the highway at about 60 mph and only that one time. It
hasnt happened since strangely enough. It could have just been the wind
moving in ano odd way.
