Honda  Civic 2006 four door, EX with auto and navigation.7800 miles.Weather
strip on drivers door has been replaced two times, both times rubber is
eroded for about eight inches in the vicinity of the door latch, now I have
been informed that the passenger side strip is split length wise for about
five inches and a new strip has been ordered.
I am normal size male, I carry nothing on my belt, no tools,  nothing that
would hit the strip entering the car, vehicle is garaged, does not sit in
the sun, no polishes or treatments have been applied to the rubber.

Ah, but can you see an image of the Virgin Mary in the rubber?
