98 Civic LX w/ 5 speed manual trans..121,000 miles

Car shifts fine through all gears...No shifting problems whatsoever..
but there is a awful lot of "slop" with the gearshift when in any gear..

Example..I can move the gearshift lever probably a good 4-6 inches from
left to right of center while in any gear..

Any thoughs..Maybe some kind of bushing worn ?

Thanks..

Rich

=======================

Parts diagrams are at www.slhondaparts.com

Have you done a drain-n-fill of the Honda MTF lately? The newer
formulation is apparently nicer in a couple respects.
