I was hoping somene has experience they'd like to share with me regarding a
check engine light that came on my car. My Honda has 58,000 miles. It's a
V6. If there's more info you need, let me know. I was reading and it could
be something to do with emissions? Thanks for responding.

It could be something as simple, as you not having turned your gas cap
enough times, when putting it back on the filler neck. Which is related to
the emission system.

Take it to Autozone, they will read the code for free, then comeback here
and tell us what's the code

Thanks for the feedback. I went to AutoZone. The code is P0401 - EGR Valve
Problem - something to do with emissions. They also cleared the code and the
check engine light is off now. But it may reoccur if the problem continues.
Any one have thoughts?

yes it's an insufficent flow code and is covered by an 8-80 emission
extension. take it to the dealer it's free!!   they have to bore out
and sleeve the intake port and replace the egr valve.  bulletin number
may be 00-085

He may have to wait until the light comes on again, right? if he goes now,
there is no code and he will have to pay to have the code read.

Thanks. I'll do that and come back to let you know the outcome.

I finally got a chance to call the dealer, and sure enough, just as Chip
said, they will repair it covered under the extension. So, thanks very much
for the help.
