Does anybody heard a ticking(!?) noise coming from the engine but heard only
on complete silence under the steering wheel , specially at idle speed ? If
you push the accelerator and release it , it goes away and then it's back a
couple of seconds after been idle ? Could it be a pushrod ? The dealer says
it's just because the engine is new (12,000 miles). I can digitize the sound
and put it on a website in case you need more information.
Thanks

There's no pushrods in that engine.

Hey that's right (OHC) Thanks God!! So maybe , if it's 3 ticks every second,
it's the valve guide or piston hittin the cylinder ?

Since it is a relatively new car, some dissimilar metals mating at different
temperatures/expansion rates like the exhaust stove against the manifold,
converter, etc. It could as simple as a plastic fan hitting something.
