Greg.
Go for it . . . It's called Z1, and it's in a bottle with the HONDA name
on it. Drain four litres this month, wipe the magnetic drain plug, and
replace. Top up. Drive it a few weeks, and do it again.
Tranny will last as long as possible. Shifting will be great too. (or at
least as the enginers designed it to be :-) )

does the si have an automatic transmission? i think z1 is only for the
auto. check that before using.
for the op, synthetics are fine as far as lubricity & long life are
concerned, but i'm not sure they're appropriate for the synchro
mechanism on the honda stick transmission. honda lube is so cheap in
relation to the cost of fixing any problems [unless you don't plan n
keeping the car] that you're better off just replacing more frequently
if you have lube life concerns.
