Can anybody help me with options for roofrack selection for this model? It
will be used for transporting kayaks and probably have max load of up to
60 kg.

Thule (http://www.thule.com) used to have a rack system that worked with
the '92 - '95 Civic hatchback, but it is no longer available. Thule (and
Yakima too, for that matter) don't sell complete racks, you have to buy
the individual parts to fit your car and intended load.

For your Civic you would need 4 "400xt Aero Foot Pack", these are the
feet that sit on top of your roof, 4 "LB50 Load Bars", the bars that go
across the roof, on top of the feet, 1 "167 Fit Kit", these are
essentially rubber pads that mount on the feet and match the contour of
the roof / rain gutter, and finally you need the "short roof adapter".
The problem is that the short roof adapter is no longer listed for the
95 Civic Hatch. I don't know if they discontinued it or if they just
don't recommend it for the Civic any more. If you are interested, I can
see if there is a part number stamped on my short roof adapter. That way
you can find out if Thule is still selling them, perhaps you can find
used ones.

Once the above is secured, you need to get a carrier for the load you
need to carry, bikes, surfboard, canoe, kayak etc. These are easy to get
from Thule.

If you go to a Thule dealer, tell them you have the 4-door Civic, and
they should be able to get you every thing you need except the short
roof adapter. Then get the short roof adapter used.

Further info: Outside of the US, Thule lists the whole rack system as
available for the '95 Hatch, so you shouldn't have any problem finding a
Thule system to carry your kayaks. Yakima has an almost identical setup
at about the same price. I have had my Thule rack for about 6 years and
have been satisfied with it. I have the bike carrier, not the kayak
carrier.

For US Civic owners, The Thule site does not list a roof rack for the
'92-'95 hatch, but the rack listed for the '92 - '95 coupe will fit the
hatch as well. It is the same setup that they used to list for the
hatch.
