Looking to convert automatic to manual, what I need to do other then swap.
dBaiTx - 20 Sep 2004 00:06 GMT
Can I just put a manual transmission in it?
jim beam - 20 Sep 2004 00:37 GMT
of course.  the question is, why would you want to???  why not just sell
it to someone that actually /wants/ an automatic and buy one that's
already a stick?  saves you a bunch of grief, money & skinned knuckles
while both you and the new owner get what they want.

To me thats more of a hassal then just switching transmissions.  I do the
work at my shop, so I don't need to pay labor.

If you had any idea in how difficult it is, you wouldn't be asking the
group. If you think is easy, just do it.

Plus if you work at a shop you should have a basic idea on what's
required labour wise.

A basic parts list

5 spd transaxle
Maybe CV joints
Shifter (custom mounted)
Clutch pedal assembly
Clutch kit
Manual ECU or maybe professional chipping.
