This hose seems to have plugged up.

Is it enough to blow it out with high pressure air or should more be done as
a preventative measure?

Thanks, Lar

My thinking is that this would blow the gunk back in where it would soon
clog the line again. On my Civic it is easy to grab hold of the drain
hose and pull it off the nipple on the evaporator housing. Doing this,
you could blow out the hose from the inside instead. Perhaps some
careful poking with a pipe cleaner would clear the evaporator housing
nipple?

That would be a preventive measure, preventative is a noun.

Does one remove the hose from under the car or under the dash?

Oh, and thanks for the grammer lesson. Never a dull moment on Usenet!

On my Civic you can remove the hose from inside the cabin. At the front
/ bottom edge of the evaporator housing there is a plastic nipple. The
rubber hose is pushed onto this nipple and goes forward about 4 inches
before going through the firewall. In the engine compartment it is held
in place by a couple of clips. On my car it is very easy to remove the
entire hose and clean it out in the sink. Access may be more tricky on
the ody.

You might want to put a towel in the floor before you start. People have
reported unpleasant surprises as they manage to open up the clogged
drain.

Sometimes I just can't help myself. :-)

Found the hose under the dash by the floor. Pulled it off, ran a 12 gauge
wire through it and also poked into the evaporator drain pan through the
hose nipple. Everything seems clean. I ran the A/C and its draining fine
now. Maybe I fixed it, maybe it was nothing that I did.

Thanks for your help in either event,  Lar
