Anyone install the factory fog lights on their 2003-05 Accord? Instructions
are 19 pages long and you have to cut holes in the bumper cover. Lots of
wiring also. Dealer wanted 4 hours labor at $100 per. Lights are only $238
wholesale at www.handa.com (spelled correct, stands for Honda and Acura).

When I got our new 2003 Accord (EX V6), I planned to install the fog
lights because on all our previous cars/SUV's I either ordered them with
the car as part of a package or installed them myself later. After
looking at the full installation instructions I realized that I could do
this--I'm a decent amateur mechanic/woodworker/metalworker and I have
the tools. But I was so reluctant to cut into our new car (and annoyed
at Honda for not providing them as a factory install like Toyota, VW and
Mazda) that I decided to wait. Well after more than a year I don't miss
them at all! Seems strange to me since I always had and used them
before and our SUV has them now, but I find that driving even in bad or
foggy weather is fine without them. Oh, and I can't justify the cost
and my labor just for looks, although I agree that they do look good.
