Hello all,
I have a 92 Civic HB and have noticed that after it rains, I have water
build up behind the rear driver seat. I ripped the carpet out so I don't
have to worry about mildew or mold but it looks like the metal is starting
to rust.
Any suggestions on where the leak is coming from???

The leak always eventually finds its way to the lowest point, which is
probably the floor behind the driver's seat. If it is coming from the back,
it is probably also accumulating in the spare tire well.
The first place to look is leaking seals where the taillight assemblies
mount against the car body. Also check the rubber seals around the hatch
and the doors. If you have a sunroof, look for a clogged or dislodged drain
hose.
A few more possibilities:
Check the drain path in the air inlet at the base of the windshield for
clogging with debris or it might be dislodged.
If not the above things, look for a leak in the seal around the windshield
or hatch glass.

There is a TSB regarding "WATER LEAK FROM SEAM UNDER CORNER OF DASH.",
TSB # 92050R. Go to
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/tsbsearch.cfm and search
for NHTSA Item number 51123. Unfortunately the full text of the TSB is
not available at that site.
