Hi,

Anyone have this problem?  The drivers side door is seemingly jammed.  The
door handles work OK and all the mechanical levers for the locking mechanism
and door latch seem to be working but it will not open.  I noticed on the
passenger side that when you open the door latch, the latching mechanism
seems to just fall open by gravity.  I'm not sure I'm explaining this very
well:-(

At any rate, I can't get the panel totally off unless I maybe if I pull the
dash first.  I can get at the inside of the door.  Well, I can get my hands
in there anyway.  I'm thinking there must be a broken part inside the
mechanism itself since everything external of that seems to work just like
the other side (the working side.)   Any ideas of how to get this door open
with totally demolishing the latch/lock?  Thanks!

I just ran into this same problem and although I haven't fixed it yet, I
found some solutions online.  I actually have a PDF on what to do, if you
want to send me an e-mail, I can forward it to you.

Hi Doug.
I just experienced this same problem after getting my morning coffee and
thought someone was playing a cruel joke on me.  Needless to say, with coffee
in hand, I crawled in through the passenger door.  I am glad it was not
locked.
I was wondering if you could shed some light on this problem.  How did you
get the door opened without destroying the door panel?  What did you find as
the problem?
Thanks for any info!
