If you haven't had the manual transmission fluid replaced or checked recently, now's the time. If you have the owner's manual it will have the replacement interval in it. And if you don't know when it was, have it replaced. It's reasonably priced, and far cheaper than gear or synchro trouble. If the noise showed up immediately after all the suspension work was done, then I would take it back to the shop and have it inspected. It could be related to the prior work or it could be something new. There are a lot of potential causes for a humming or grinding noise. However, it's unlikely that a bad alignment or an out of balance wheel could be one of them. For example, do you hear the noise at idle or only when the car is moving? Does the noise change when you push the clutch pedal down? Eric well i took it back its the bearing they are replacing it for me,and to answer your question it only does it when the car is moving so its nothing to do with the tranny |
