Can the motor from a 97 Acura 1.6 go into a 99 civic?  I can't find anywhere
that says you can't.

Thanks

Are the engine numbers the same? example:B16A2 1.6L DOHC 16V VTEC
                                              D16Y7 1.6L SOHC
                                              D16Y5 1.6L SOHC VTEC-E
                                              D16Y8 1.6L SOHC 16V VTEC
(from my Haynes manual)

I suspect any of those would fit in your car,but I dunno about the ECU
matching. (PGM-FI module)
