what can cause a belt to squeal in the rain also in the cold?????? > what can cause a belt to squeal in the rain also in the cold?????? Not tight? Belt needs to be replaced? Bearings shot? Alternator running heavy load > Tighten/Replace belt. Power steering bearing seizing? i dont have power steering, brand new belt. it doesnt squeal all the time just when you first start the car > i dont have power steering, brand new belt. it doesnt squeal all the time > just when you first start the car Then it's probably loose and needs to be tightened.
