I have a 1998 Honda Civic with 14" rims and stock 185/65/R14 tires and stock
suspension. Would it be possible to use 185/70/R14 tires? I am able to buy
some used ones in excellent shape at a very good price. Thanks for any input
you can give.

I have run the following sizes on my civic:

185 65 R14
195 65 R14 (rubbed slightly at full lock)
195 60 R14 (I run these now, they are perfect!)

185 70 R14s would have an overall diameter of 24.19 inches

185mm x 70% = 129.5mm x 2 = 259mm  / 25.4 = 10.29" + 14" = 24.29" overall
diameter

Using the same formula:

185 65 R14 = 23.47"
195 65 R14 = 23.98"
195 60 R14 = 23.21"

I think the 185 70 R14s would rub until they wear down a bit, since they are
0.82" more in diameter than stock.
