That is on the short list for our 3d Honda. How are they doing in the real world. I don't have one but Consumer Reports loved it. (SW Fla) The dealers are holding tough on the price. Call Autopark Honda in Cary, NC. Ask for a salesman Don Hilebrande. I bought 2 cars from him a few months ago and he is a straight shooter. Shipping is only about $600. Might be worthwhile if he can save you a few grand. I have no idea what they go for now. I bought an Accord Hybrid and Odyssey. They don't play games. Or try the internet sites dealers near you and get quotes from several. That is how I got started. Also check prices at www.Edmunds.com and www.kbb.com They will tell you what people are paying and any incentives available. I'm sure the ridgeline performs well but it does not look to me like what a truck should. I've never looked at the interior, just speaking about the exterior. I would have to say there are a number of so called trucks "Cadillac, Lincoln, etc" that may perform like any other but they just don't look like a truck. My view. The Ridgeline does not say truck to me. ----------- Elbert ask@me.com Well, having owned 2 trucks (Chevy Silvarado and Ford F-150 Lariat), and currently own a Honda Ridgeline, I will tell all that this truck meets my needs perfectly. While the other two trucks were fine trucks, this one is the best. I have better gas mileage, more passenger room and with the trunk, a great access to hold much of the gear I normally would have had to haul in the bed. As to hauling, 99% of the time the bed of my previous two trucks was empty. Same with the Ridgeline. It will haul 4 by 8 sheets of material with the tailgate down (same as my Lariat). Driving is great with more response than my Lariat and the ride is very, very good. While the Ridgeline may not be for everyone, it is the perfect truck for me. Father-in-law has one. Loves it. I can not say enough about the safety features, ride, performance and technology that went into this thing. Many respected auto publications and critics have sung its praises time and again. In fact, it was named Motor Trends Truck of the Year and this was against some powerful competition outside its own class. By that I mean the Ridgeline is not meant to compete with the big Rams and Silverado type trucks but is really mid-size, more like the Dakota type trucks. Also, I am pretty sure it was named truck of the year in Canada as well. In fact, the Ridgeline is so unique and innovated, some publications have said it re-difines the genre to the point where a new classification is in order - perhaps, "Transporter" would be more appropriate. If you want to do oil field work or ranch chores this may not be the vehicle for you. But if you want to ride in comfort and safety (more than any truck in history) and haul bass boats or small trailers (5000 lbs) along with the things you buy once and a while at the hardware store, the Ridge is the way to go. The best thing to do is google honda ridgeline forums and click on them to see what owners are saying. The rideline owner club (ROC) is perhaps the best. MARTY If the Ridgeline is the way to go if you want to haul a small trailer, or a bass boat how come Honda doesn't offer a factory trailer hitch? Doesn't say much for the Ridgeline if thats not an option! I think that the Ridgeline is nothing more than a beefed up Pilot!
