Since Accord does not have Xenon light option and my wife insists on putting
"brighter" headlight...don't ask me why. I learned from 20 years of
experiences--just do it!
Is there easy installation kit designed for Accord? Who makes it?
Thanks

It seems that you need to stand up to your wife and put her in her place (or
on the street if she won't obey you properly <g>).

How about those idiot lowrider pickup trucks that drag the rear end close
to the ground? I do not believe their headlights re-aim themselves when
they alter the height of the back end.I don't know how they can be allowed
on the roads;they certainly would not pass any inspection.

I don't know about the accord, but I do remmeber reading aout changing
the xenon bulbs in a golf costs about $500 at a dealer. They ahve to
drop the front bumper and everything. thats jsut to replace a blown
bulb. Of course, that was 03ish

Try the question on rec.autos.tech - Daniel Stern is a regular there, and
whether or not one agrees with his strongly held opinions about a lot of
matters, he is a lighting pro (see also
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/faq/FAQ.html) and will give you the
straight scoop.

Oops - Daniel's FAQ is temporarily down. Check out

keep in mind that if you just buy a kit to put in the bulbs, instead of
doing a retro fit there will be lots of glare, and it is also completely
illegal, so hopefully you will get a ticket before bliding too many people

Here in BC, aftermarket lighting fixtures must be of an approved type or
they're illegal, and HIDs are completely illegal unless they came on the
car from the factory. In these parts, if a car with improper lighting
is stopped by the police, it can be pulled from the road and written up
for inspection, cannot be put back on the road until it's passed
inspection, and it won't pass until the lighting meets with the
regulations... meaning it's basically off the road until the lighting is
restored to the factory or approved fixtures. That's a lotta money and
effort to get you back to where you started.
The moral of the story: check with your local authorities before making
any major lighting upgrades/changes, lest ye waste thy time.
