91 Civiv DX, 64,000 miles. When slowing down it seems that transmission
downshifts too early back into 1st gear. The fluid is at a normal level.
Im going to drain fluid and use Honda ATF. Does anyone have any advice on
this model ?

------------------------------

It's normal for it to SMACK into gear if you give it gas just before
making a legal stop, as well as at other times. It's a very different
animal than any Detroit boxes.

Dont' worry, be happy.

SEARCH for drain-n-fill help. Do not power flush.

Dont touch anything, the seatbelts along with the components are covered
for the life of the vehicle. Call your local Honda dealer and schedule an
appointment and they will fix it free of charge.
