I have a 1994 honda prelude and i am in the prosses of taking the motor out and i am stuck i have alredy detached all the parts from the block itself and i am trying to pull it out but when ever i begin to pull the block it always gets stuck on the transsmision now i have tried to drop it striaght down but with knoe luck do you have any suggestions to make my life allitle easier

Have you pulled both axles? In addition, are you using a tilt bar? You can
see several examples here http://tinyurl.com/p9s2s. While I haven't pulled
a motor on a '94 'Lude, other Honda motors I've pulled require you to use a
tilt bar to angle the engine rather steeply before it will come out.

i have removed the axels but i still have trouble with clearence because i cant get the block past the transmission becauseof the flyweel and pressure plate ect. and i cant remove the pullies because i cant get them of i even tried to remove it stright throw the bottom but i cant go any further down because of the engine mount and i cant take it of with out removing the pully because it is behind that stupid cover do you have any other suggestions that i might be able to try

thanks for all the help i finally got it out after droping the trany down with the block but yet again i have run into another problem now thankfuly it is not something big but i now currenly putting it all back together and i need all the torque specs for the main baring caps and for the connecting rods i was hoping there was a web sit that has them if you can find a good site that would be great thanks again for all the hel

it sounds like a good idea to get the manual but if you know a good web site for the torque specs the engine is H23A1 SI 2.3 non V-tech but i will try to find that manua
