I have a 2002 Honda, and upon slow acceleration (and somtimes slow deceleration), I hear a squak/squeal similar to when brakes are going bad. It's intermittent, and only at slow speeds. Any sugestions?? Brakes were just checked and replaced. Otherwise no problems. Thanks

im asuming you have aftermarket roters & pads put on? not to say they are bad. but can sometimes be or tend to be noisy. uhhm look for shims on the back of the brake pads they help keep them in tight if its in there. then i would take it back to the shop & explain to them that you have a noise in the brakes and you would like that repaired after all you still have warranty on the work performed by that shop/garage if its a good shop they will look after your problem. i had the same thing happen to me on my wifes pathfinder turned out the remedy was to simply put on a new set of brake pads. what happened with the first new set of pads were they got glazed & hardened up and sqeeked loudly i think in your case that to may be the remedy

Just a thought. Being that the brakes were recently worked on, check the
dust shields to ensure that they arent rubbing on something. They are very
thin metal and bend easily. Very easy to bend into and out of place.

try"d that" didn"t work the brake job was done in the winter where there was lots of snow & salt on the road. somehow i think the salt & and the combination of heat from braking in the dry pavement. interacted with the organic brake material" on the pads. the shop was nice enough to change them. being they were still under warranty. and that curred my noise

You could be a lot more specific about your 'honda'. We can't guess the
model or the mileage. If it's a CR-V with over 30,000 miles (50,000 Km)
on it, you may just need to drain-n-fill the Dual Pump Fluid in the rear
differential (but you probably would have mentioned a grinding /
shuddering noise when turning left-hand turns in parking lots) . .
