if its a new one honda recommends 93 for better performance

The "Owner Link" at http://automobiles.honda.com/ says that,
for the 2005 Civic Si, regular unleaded is "required." (Of
course they mean that a minimum octane of 86 is needed.) But
for the 2006 Civic Si, it says premium unleaded is
"required."
