i can see it in the daytime just fine, but at night obviously i can't see it
at all as there is no backlight. how on earth do you change that bulb? we
don't see it in the owners manual anywhere!

Make a fist and give the dash a sharp rap by the light. Several people have
fixed it that way as the socket was just not making good contact.
