in reading other posts, it looks like i changed my oil a little early.
around 5k.  however, the oil life indicator is now @ 10% and im
wondering why it didnt recognize the new oil.  or is resetting it done
manually? thanks

The minder is reset manually.  It doesn't magically 'know' that you've
changed oil.  It's in your manual.

You have to reset it manually.  The owners manual tells you how.
