civic idle problem?

honda civic hatch cx with a dx motor and ecu has a very high idle,
really bad when cold probably between 3-4000 rpm any sugestions?

Yes, I have a suggestion: Tell us what model year this car is, what
model year the engine is from and which ECU us are using. The idle
control system has changed quite a bit over the years.
